Woke up today having the utter feeling of dread. I just knew that today would be a bad day. I get to school, and everything is going decent.
Then lunch came. Oh the dreaded lunch in which I mostly sat alone everyday because I know like no one at my new school. Well, that is except for one girl that is incredibly awesome, but we dont' really talk much... At all... I would always glance to the other students in my band class eating wishing I could sit with them, but they all have all their friends. I would feel rude for butting in.
Today, lunch wasn't like that though. No, today a fantastic girl sat with me, and we had a great time! Lunch wasn't so bad today.
After lunch I headed to band. There I faced today's dilemma. :(
Day's Dilemma: Bassoons
Okay, let me give some background on bassoons in my life. I never knew much about the instrument. When my cousin told me she was going to play bassoon, I felt the need to learn about it. I thought it was pretty cool, but it wasn't into this year that I saw one truly.
There sitting in front of me in band in all it's glory is a bassoonist. I mostly just noticed the bassoon though. I couldn't tear my eyes off of it. The sound of the bassoon is fantastical too.
There it is, my dilemma. I can't take my eyes off the bassoon, and now I have trouble paying attention to anything else when one is nearby. I know, that's the most suckish dilemma ever, but it is mine.
Okay, after school we had the fantastic thing called marching band rehearsal. It went incredibly well today! I just felt that things were finally starting to click for this rookie. Of course I still have trouble. Before I was like a drunken duck tripping over myself. Today I was more like a... Graceful swan flailing around.
So, that concludes my day. Well not completely, but I am making pasta now, so I must say bye.
